// Methodology

Methodology

How records are collected, graded, versioned and released. The rules are enforced by the database, not by convention.

// Verification grades

Every record carries one grade

ADirectly evidenced / executed
BStrong primary-source evidence
CCredible secondary-source evidence
DReported or announced, not independently verified
EEstimate or inference

Grade E is reserved for estimates. Estimates, asking prices, announcements and appraisals are never mixed with executed transactions.

// Record status

Draft → verified

Records start as draft. A record can only become verified once it has primary evidence attached — an archived copy of the source. Archived means the page was captured and stored immutably (SHA-256); Link only means the publisher blocked automated capture, so the record cannot be verified until a copy is saved manually.

Records are never edited in place: every change is a new version with a reason, and the history is shown on each record page.

// Collected vs publishable

Two separate questions

Collecting a fact and publishing it are different decisions. A record is publishable only when it is verified, public, rights-cleared and in UK + EU scope. Third-party sale data needs legal review before it can be cleared.

// Build modes

Beta, preview and publish

This site is the beta build. Beta shows every public-source record with its status — drafts are labelled and not yet independently verified. Publish shows only verified, rights-cleared records from sources whose terms are cleared. Unreviewed insolvency-notice matches are never shown publicly.

// Scope

UK + EU

The UK and the 27 EU member states. US and other markets appear only as labelled context.

// What we never do

No inference

We never infer drawn amounts, GPU counts, recovery rates or coordinates. Where a figure is not disclosed, the page says “Not disclosed”. We keep no database of individuals.
